O método de coloração das pétalas desta rosa foi desenvolvido originalmente por Peter van Werken e são exploradas comercialmente por duas empresas holandesas que tem a sua patente.
O método consiste em criar algumas fissuras no talo da
roseira e depois injetar tintas especiais em diferentes seções. O líquido absorvido pelo talo termina indo para as pétalas dando origem a esta flor multicor. Este método também pode ser usado em outras plantas florais tais como: orquídeas, crisântemos, cravos e hortênsias.
